Quote a job, get it approved, and take payment

For work you cannot price until you have looked at it.

Plenty of jobs cannot be priced at the counter. RepairDesk lets you send a price, wait for a yes, and only then start work.

  1. Open the ticket and add a quote with the parts and labour you expect.
  2. Review the price, then use the quote action on the ticket. Customer delivery depends on your repair stages and message settings. You can also copy the tracking link and share it through your usual agreed channel.
  3. When the quote is ready for approval, the customer can approve or decline from their link without an account. Check the answer on the ticket before starting work.
  4. Do the work, then take payment.

If you use Shopify

RepairDesk can create a Shopify draft order from a priced repair ticket. Review that order in Shopify and collect payment through Shopify checkout or your approved Shopify till workflow.

If you have already taken a till payment, link or record that existing sale rather than charging the customer again. Recording a payment in RepairDesk does not charge a card or move money.

Review the actual Shopify order and its payment status. Creating a draft order is not a completed payment, and recording a payment is not a refund.

If you use RepairDesk without Shopify

Record payments you have actually received through your normal payment method. This keeps the repair balance up to date; it does not take the payment for you.

Online payment links can be used only when the feature is available to your account and its payment setup is complete. Check the payment setup guide before offering a real payment link.
